I was lucky enough to be gifted a Tokyo Headspa voucher from my son. Booking was simple, though I couldn’t get in for the full package I was given for well over a month, so I decided to split it into a couple of sessions. Finding the location was a little tricky if you’re unfamiliar with where Salon Lane is, but once inside, the salon itself is both cute and professional. Marika greeted me warmly and explained the entire process. She was courteous and sweet, which set the tone for a relaxing visit. The head massage was divine, but it was the shoulder, arm, and face massage that really elevated the whole experience. I’m fairly certain I drifted off towards the end—it was that relaxing. I was a bit surprised there was no waterfall feature like you see in the social media videos, but honestly, it didn’t detract from the experience. They've clearly thought through every detail from the lighting to the music. I did wish the bed was a little longer because my feet were hanging off the end and I got a sore back laying flat. Is it worth the hype and the price tag? For me, it was an experience, and I’m already booked to go back again, just to be sure! EDIT: Had my 2nd spa on 15 June. Amelia was brilliant. Super sweet and attentive. Do I think these are worth $280+? I don't think I'd pay that myself but its a great gift idea and I'm very glad I got to experience it twice and I wouldn't be mad if I was gifted it again.

The Lady was really nice and what I received was great but I was expecting a good head massage not a shampoo, conditioner and treatment. My long hair became extremely knotted which it usually doesn't but it did look and feel better. I won't personally go back.

If this review was based on service alone, it would be 5 stars as my therapist Areeya was brilliant. I booked in for the tokyo headspa experience and for the current $195 price, the value just isn't there. I get the rent would be high at salon lane but the entire business is run with in a small room so it's not enough of a vibe to justify the price. I was also expecting the halo water jet or something similar as per their website pictures but a standard hairdresser hose was used the whole time. I still enjoyed the experience because of my amazing therapist but the price point, equipment and ambiance should be looked in to.

I was so looking forward to being spoilt after receiving a $300 gift voucher for a 100 minute ‘special hair rejuvenation treatment’ .. sadly I was very disappointed. The girl took my voucher at the end of the session.. after it finished early .. and said ‘oh.. $300.. I don’t think she has any idea I was paying for or what I had booked online and just went through the motions.. Even though I mentioned right at the start that I was there for the hair rejuvenation treatment and hair growth. The techniques used were repetitive and very boring.. Everything about it was average. I’ve had better much massages at my hairdressers and even Shopping Centre. Sitting in the chair for a massage after the treatment seemed a little bizarre, and to be honest a waste of time. Annoyingly 100 minutes session also was only 90 minutes.. possibly less.. as in from walking in the building to walking out I was there just 95 minutes! . Not something I’ll be repeating at Tokyo.. Perhaps just I was unlucky and had one of new recruits, she certainly didn’t seem confident in what she was doing, when you’re paying $300 for an luxury experience, I expected a lot more.

Ok. So this is a rare one for me. Firstly - as it was my first time visiting I had trouble finding the place, signage isn’t great and as it’s located within salon lane it can be tricky for first timers so allow plenty of time to get there. Amber was my incredible consultant and after welcoming me she did a thorough hair & scalp check before she got down to the most intense and soothing scalp treatment I’ve ever had. The head massages were to die for and the tea tree product left my scalp feeling very refreshed. No need to worry about the numb feeling you can sometimes get at the hair salon when leaning on the sinks - THS has an incredible support for your head so you can fully enjoy the experience. Post the scalp and hair treatments I had the most divine shoulder massage - honestly for the price I reckon I could stretch out a salon visit just to accommodate this more regularly. I’ll definitely be back. If you can get Amber I strongly advise it - she is awesome! it’s a def 5* experience for me and I’m sure that like me once you’ve tried it you’ll realise how inexpensive this experience is. Go for it!
